Asian American Philanthropy
One of the most valuable team blogs was asianamericangiving.com that had a great 5-year run from 2007 to 2012. Sometimes, generosity can only go so far, in the sense of freely sharing information and publishing valuable content online takes time and effort.
From what I know, the team that blogged there continue their professional work in the philanthropy world. Some of that valuable content is being mirrored and cached here (courtesy of archive.org), so we can build upon what they've learned along the way.
Blog Description: "Asian American Giving serves as the link between Asian American donors, leaders, and the non-profit community. We promote stories of individuals engaged in philanthropy, draw attention to the issues in our community, and highlight trends and patterns in charitable giving. We aspire to be the ultimate source for Asian American philanthropy."

Looks like Kordant's website expired in December 2018. Not sure if that meant the business was renamed or closed or something else.
Dear Friends of Asian American Giving,
Five years ago, I started Asian American Giving to curate the very little philanthropic conversations occurring in the Asian American community. I covered a broad range of topics: issues in the community, large and small Asian American donors, and research or topics that were relevant to the discussion in the philanthropic sector. There were many successes along the way - especially in serving as a resource to reporters looking for information about our community.
But now it is time for me to shift my attention to our new business, Kordant Philanthropy Advisors. The Asian American philanthropic conversation will always be important and, rather than abandoning this work, we are leveraging the research capability of Kordant to produce and promote more in-depth research in this area. Here are just some of the things you can look forward to from Kordant:
* Asian Philanthropy Forum. A sister blog of AAG, it will cover stories in Asian American philanthropy, work being done in Asia, and general trends in the philanthropic sector. To continue receiving email subscriptions about the newest trends in philanthropy, please continue your subscription of AAG through APF here.
* Benchmark reports on Asian American diaspora philanthropy. On the horizon are a study on Chinese American philanthropy, done in partnership with the Chinese American Community Foundation and the Silicon Valley Community Foundation; and Vietnamese American philanthropy, the first institutional report of its kind.
* Case studies and surveys of regional organizations serving Asian Americans. For example, we will soon be launching a survey of Asian American giving circles and community foundations as well as a case study on the merger of two Oakland Chinatown-based organizations.
Thank you for your interest, time, and attention. I hope you will continue to join me in bringing stories about our community to light. Please visit Kordant and sign up to receive updates about our new ventures.
Best always,
Dien Yuen
